Is it possible to choose a property remotely using a virtual tour?

For those wishing to choose a property from outside Turkey without ever visiting, how does the virtual tour process work?
Many of our clients carry out the initial inspection via video call without ever coming to Turkey. In this article, we summarise how the video tour process works and what you need to bear in mind.
When you contact us via WhatsApp or the enquiry form regarding the property or properties you are interested in, we will arrange a suitable time with you, and your estate agent will take you on a live video tour of the property. During the tour, we can show you the rooms, communal areas and the surrounding neighbourhood in detail, answering any questions you may have.
To get the most out of a virtual tour, it is a good idea to prepare a list of questions in advance: examples include topics that may not be entirely clear from the video, such as room dimensions, the direction the property faces in relation to the sun, service charges and estate rules, and noise levels in the surrounding area.
Once you have decided on a property, the purchase process can also be completed remotely via a power of attorney. Your adviser will guide you step by step through how to draw up the power of attorney and which documents are required.
Whilst a virtual tour may not quite replace seeing a property in person, with the right questions and a reliable estate agent, it can help you make an informed decision from a distance. Please ask your estate agent for exact figures and the latest details.
